Kelley Abbey has been confirmed as an  Instructor for Dance Off! Senior Camp 2012.


Kelley brings a wealth of experience to the show, having worked on So You Think You Can Dance(Australia and the US) and Oscar winning film Happy Feet, as well as choreographing stage shows such at the Boy from Oz Arena Spectacular, Fame and Footloose the Musical.

Leslie Bell - Theatre Jazz Broadway peformer

LESLIE BELL

 

Originally from the USA, Leslie moved to Sydney from New York City in 2000 leaving behind an extensive performing career spanning 9 Broadway musicals, and 5 National touring Broadway productions. 

 

She was last seen on Broadway in the Tony award winning musical “Chicago” where she played “Mona”.  Other credits include “Ragtime”, “Victor/Victoria”, “My Fair Lady”, “State Fair”, “Steel Pier”,  “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, and “My Favorite Year”. 

 

She has had the privilege of working for many award-winning choreographers including Susan Stroman, Rob Marshall, Randy Skinner, Ann Reinking and Jerome Robbins. 

 

 

Since moving to Sydney, she has been working in flim and television as well as teaching and choreographing for theatre, corporate and charitable events.   She was last seen in the film “Mao’s Last Dancer”.

Marko Panzic - Dancer / Choreographer

In 2008 Marko hit our TV screens in the 1st series of “So You Think You Can Dance” where he was a top 20 finalist.  Marko returned for the 2nd & 3rd series as a featured choreographer.
 
As a performer his credits include; The Aria Awards, The Logies, Fame The Musical 2010, Urban Music Awards, Australian Idol Grand Final, Live to Dance TVC, World Latin Ballroom Championships, Channel V and The NRL Footy Show.  He also Assisted Jason Gilkison in Los Angeles for So You Think You Can Dance USA.
 
Marko has worked with many of Australia’s finest recording Artists including Jessica Mauboy, Jade MacRae, Olivia Newton-John, Che’nelle, Samantha Jade, The McClymonts, Prinnie, Cosima DeVito, Vanessa Amorosi, David Campbell, Paulini and Chris Sorbello.
 
He has provided choreography for ABC3 Launch, “Dance Academy” TV series ABC, Jamfest 2010 Australian Tour, Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics, Eurovision 2010 SBS special, Buzz Dance Theatre, QL2, Australian Idol TVC, Australian Dance Awards, Saturday Disney and numerous corporate engagements.

Kristian Pellissier

Kristian Pellissier is a graduate of the Victorian College of The Arts Secondary School (VCASS) and the Australian Ballet School (2001).  He was the recipient of the Anne Woolliams award for dedication and excellence in dance (1997) and the Lucie Saronova Memorial Scholarship (1998) for Cecchetti, receiving Honours for Elementary and Intermediate Cecchetti in the same year.  At the Australian Ballet School Kristian was the recipient of the RMIT Theatre Studies Award, Michael Easton Scholarship (1999 and 2000) and the Beta Sigma Phi scholarship (2001).

Kristian has worked with various companies including Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, Bondi Ballet, Opera Australia, West Australian Opera, The Australian Ballet, The Dancers Company, Royal Caribbean International and English National Ballet, in addition to secondments with Sydney Dance Company, Expressions Dance Company and Royal New Zealand Ballet and dancing in the film 'Mao's Last Dancer'.

 

He has performed in various dance styles, including classical ballet, contemporary, commercial dance and tango. He received choreographic training during his time at VCASS and ABS, with the first work he created used as an aid for teaching dance composition processes for Dance Units 1 and 2 of VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education). Kristian is currently performing in Opera Australia's Production of 'La Traviata' on Sydney Harbour.

Loredo Malcolm

Actor/Dancer/ Choreographer

Age nine, Loredo started training at Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts in Jamaica. He moved to New York to pursue further training, graduating with his certificate in dance and performing arts. Loredo then understudied the role of in Disney's The Lion King for four years touring Australia, Shanghai, and London's West End. Loredo then performed in Production Company shows such as Mame, Follies and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Loredo has also appeared in television commercials for Nokia, Colgate and Smirnoff Black. In 2009 Loredo made it into the Top 9 dancers on television’s So You Think You Can Dance. He recently opened his Contemporary Company LOcREaDO Dance Company. He has taught at various dance schools including Patrick Studios Australia, Barbara Lynch, Robert Sturrock’s, The Space Dance, Urban Dance Centre, Step Up Dance, The McDonald College and Sydney Dance Company.

At 25 years of age Loredo is very grateful to be given the opportunities that he has had in his life and hopes to take things a long way. He is very pleased to be a part of the cast of Chicago playing The Spirit of Bob Fosse and will be travelling to Perth, Singapore and then to Hong Kong with Chicago The Musical Cast. Loredo is grateful to be given the opportunity to perform with some of the best musical theatre performers in the industry. Loredo has also recently been offered a contract with the Brand new Australian Production of Hairspray The Musical as and Ensemble dancer and Understudying Seaweed.

Simone Pulga - Dancer/Teacher

Simone Pulga commenced his full-time dance training at La Scala (Milan, Italy) when he was ten years old.  He furthered his studies at the School of American Ballet in New York (USA) for three years.  Simone’s first professional appointment as a dancer was at Stuttgart Ballet in 2004.  

In 2006 he moved from Germany to Australia and started working with the first Dance Education Ensemble at The Australian Ballet.  In 2007 Simone become a full-time member of the company and spent two years performing throughout Australia and overseas including Paris, London and Tokyo.  

Following his experience as a member of The Australian Ballet, Simone returned to the Dance Education Ensemble and is currently the Senior Presenter.  His work involves teaching, performance, music-making and administrative supervision of aspects of the dance education program.  Since his return to the Dance Education Ensemble, Simone has travelled extensively to teach and perform for thousands of Australian school students.

Don Napalan (aka Bboy Don)

Don is an original member of the longest standing and active Bboy Crews in Australia –SKB (2007 Australian Bboy Champions). Hailing from the Western Suburb of Mt. Druitt, Sydney, Don has been Bboying since March 2000.  Specializing in Toprocks and Footwork, his breathtaking musicality mixed with his blazing love and passion for sharing his gifts with others has established himself as one of the most recognized and respected Bboys in Australia today.  

 

Don, with his exceptional performance, was the first Bboy ever to get straight through to the Top 100 in So You Think You Can Dance Australia 2008 and did it again in 2009, this time making it to the Top 40 contestants. In 2010, with the 3rd Season of SYTYCD Australia, Don auditioned one last time but this time made it to the Top 20.  

 

Over the years, Don and his Bboy crew/Hip Hop dance group SKB/Lemmings have accumulated numerous major titles under their belt. Some of which include 2007 Australian Bboy Championships, 1st place in Elite Dance Competition 2002, Groove Dance Challenge 2002 & 2005, Kick Up The Dust 2001 & 2005, Battlegrounds Inter-state 2004, Dancekool Vol.9, Platform Hiphop Festival 2009, Encryption Bboy Champs 2009, Shadow Warz 1 on 1 Bboy Battles (2nd Place) and also represented Australia at the WORLD BBOY CHAMPIONSHIPS at Las Vegas in August 2009.  

 

He has also collaborated with other groups such as Cookie Time to take out  the Groove State Finals and Toilet Funk 9 to become the two-time 360 Freestyle Battle Champions of 2008 & 2009.

He has also made appearances and choreographed for the Urban Music Awards, Big Day Out, DMX, A1GP with Ricki Lee Coulter, Disney Channel, Nike, Red Bull and Sony Playstation 3.

Pania Taku

Has been training in dance for eight years, initially with a focus only in hip-hop, which later was broadened to encompass Contemporary and Jazz.  Pania has been trained locally at Brent Street Studios by some of the best choreographers and teachers in the Australasian industry.  Across the globe in Los Angeles at Debbie Reynolds and Millenuim studio with the leading choreographers of today.

As a choreographer, dancer and leader of Australasia’s top female group Deja in 2009 Pania auditioned for “So You Think You Can Dance - Season 2” and successfully finished in the top 14, solidifying my position as one of the best dancers and performers in Australia.

Since this life changing experiecne, Pania has had the opportunities to dance/choreograph the opening act for the Australian Jabbawockeez tour, Host and dance in MTV's 1st ever live show.  Meanwhile also performing along side international celebrities such as Joe, Wanya Morris (Boyz II Men), Lilly Allen, Vince Harder and Macy Gray as well as Local Australian Celebrities Guy Sebastian, Israel, Teagan Rogers, Boogie Warehouse, Emily Williams and Grammy award Nominee Sam Sparro.

Dance Off!

Ilona Fabiszewski

is an accomplished performer and choreographer who began dancing at the age of five. Ilona’s varied dance experience is a result of training in Australia, the UK and in the USA where she participated in workshops under top choreographers including Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Mia Michaels and Brian Friedman to name a few.  Ilona’s versatile style reflects the influence of her background training in Funk, Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Popping, Locking, Jazz, Tap and Indian Classical. 

 

Ilona’s teaching and choreography remains in high demand, recently choreographing for Grammy Award Winner ‘Duffy’ for SYTYCD Season 2. Dance performances for Jessica Mauboy, choreography and dance for Vanilla Ice at V Festival, Bonds ‘Paddycake’ TVC, choreographer & dancer for Seany B’s ‘Happy Today’ music video, movement coaching Australia’s Next Top Models and Seany B, choreographer and dancer for Indian pop star Aiysha - Australia and New Zealand tour, music videos for Guy Sebastian’s ‘Like It Like That’, Roxanne Lebrasse ‘Sexy Boys, Sexy Girls’ (Aus Idol) and for her own company “Funkd”. Ilona continues to perform at various clubs and events.

 

 

Brooke Tulloch

Brooke is an independent dancer/choreographer and performer From Brisbane. She has danced various styles since the age of five, including Ballet and Highland Dancing to Jazz and Hip Hop. Brooke’s passion is Nu School and Street Hip Hop. Her choreography reflects raw Hip hop and Popping, although with a very distinctive style and musicality.  Her extremely passionate nature and desire to experience Hip Hop Dancing led her to Los Angeles to train with well known choreographers like: Sho-tyme, Dave Scott, Shaun Evaristo, Lyle Beniga.

 

She has featured on Hot source TV with her Hip Hop crew, performed at many nightclubs, Brisbane Exhibition, Auto Salon and Gold Coast Indy. Recently has performed for artist Duran Adhar’s music video ‘Let Your Body Speak’, danced for Jessica Mauboy at the Sony foundation for 'Warf4Ward' and also performs with a group of Belly dancers around Australia. Her accomplishments at such a young age are testament to her life’s passion for Hip Hop Dance and that is reflected in her teaching ability with all age groups

 

Damien Grima

Dance Off!

 

Damien began his training at the age of six, at Theatre Arts Mackay under the direction of Lynette Denny.  Starting with tap, he then moved onto all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Drama and Singing.  After completing his CSTD Gold Cross and RAD Intermediate exams he moved to Melbourne to train at the Australian Ballet School.

 

Damien's first full time dance job was with Princess Cruises. Between this role he worked as a commercial dancer for ads in Taiwan, Star Struck on Ch 9, The Helpmann Awards as well Opera Australia.  Damien also spent time in England performing an U.K Tour of Copacabana and as Dance Captain for Potters Theatre Company.

 

As well as teaching the full time students at Bartuccio's in Melbourne, Damien had the opportunity to assist the Choreographer at Potters Theatre Company.  He has also spent some time teaching Ballroom and Latin after spending a year and a half in training, which led him and his dance partner to choreograph a piece for Short, Sweet and Dance 2007 & 2009.  He was also in the musical 'Las Vegas Confidential' in 2008.  Damien trains the full time students at Mango Dance Studio, as well as the drop in classes.

 

RHIANNON VILLAREAL

 

Professional Jazz & Hip Hop dancer / teacher and Top Ten finalist of “So You Think You Can Dance”

 

Rhiannon started dancing when she was two years old. She trained full time at the well known and respected Brent Street high school. At a young age, she had become a professional with a wide variety of performance experience such as Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards and the Australian and NZ Urban Music Awards. Rhiannon was also a semi-finalist with her dance group Raptuos in the Channel 7 TV show “Australia’s Got Talent”. Other film, TV and stage credits are; Dare to Dance - a TV series, Optus / SYTYCD TV Commercial, Network 10 "Australian Idol" - Finalist show at the Sydney Opera House.

 

She’s also got extensive experience in music clips having worked with Rogue Traders, Young Divas and Nikki Webster.  Growing up in Western Sydney herself, Rhiannon has a special affinity with the youth in this area who have a passion for dance. Being a teacher at the Sydney Dance Company Studios as well as other top dance studios, she is excited to be involved with DANCE OFF! And to share her passion for dance to the youth of the Sydney Western Region. We are excited to have Rhiannon as our special guest instructor at "Dance Off!".

LOUIE GEORGE - JAZZ

Louie trained at Bartuccio Dance and Promotion Centre. He has lead an extraordinary career as a dancer, singer, actor and choreographer.  His credits include Funny Girl, Mame, Sisterella, Sweet Charity, Miss Saigon and Faust.

Louie has appeared regularly as a resident singer for Good Morning Australia, The Aria Awards, Deni Hines and The Bert Newton Show. Louie has choreographed for the Victorian Arts Centre, The Mike Walsh Show, Logie Awards, AFI Awards and various television commercial and fashion awards. He has taught at Dance World 301, Brattice Dance, Brent Street School of Performing Arts and Sydney Dance Company.
